Win up to $1000 for improving your close ratio

Funding ratios are important to us because they help us maintain efficiency within our teams, which means better service levels for you and your clients. So we are taking it back to basics to increase your commit-to-fund ratio. We've put together our best tips and tricks to help you improve your close ratio, which you will find below. All you need to do is implement these tips, submit your deals, and fund them!

It's easy

The individual broker who achieves and maintains a 50% efficiency ratio on deals committed on between August 1 and October 31, 2019 and funds those deals by November 30, 2019 will be entered into our draw for a chance to win one of four Visa gift card prizes. Brokers who fund 2 deals or less will be entered into a draw to win a $500 Visa gift card. Brokers who fund 3+ deals will also be entered to win the grand prize of a $1000 Visa gift card.

Tips and tricks
  1. Work closely with your BDM to pre-qualify your client and identify any gaps in their package prior to submission.

  2. Put the F. U. in funding - follow up! Following up with your clients on their deals is the easiest way to increase your close ratio. Ensure you clear out any cancelled deals.

  3. Contact your BDM and/or underwriter with any questions or concerns about the commitment; we're committed to fund mortgages with you so let's work together to get these deals done.

  4. Review your commitment as soon as you receive it to ensure it meets the needs of your clients. 

  5. Use a common-sense approach and present the total package to your client including prepayment options, portability, and different payment frequencies. Ensure you sell the payment and not the rate as some clients are rate sensitive, but the payments are affordable.

The nitty gritty
  • 50% close ratio will be determined by a 120 day look-back performed at an individual broker level
  • Broker has remained with the same firm for the 120 day period
  • 50% close ratio must be achieved and maintained by the individual broker as of November 30, 2019
  • 3 prizes of $500 and one grand prize of $1000 in Visa gift cards are available to be won
