Introducing Bev LePage, Business Development Manager in Manitoba and Saskatchewan

We are pleased and proud to announce that Bev LePage has joined the Optimum team as our new Business Development Manager for Manitoba and Saskatchewan! Bev comes to us with a wealth of experience in all aspects of mortgage lending and we know that her knowledge, professionalism, experience, and expertise fit extremely well with the ‘Optimum Advantage’. Here’s more about Bev in her own words…

What steps in your career led to your new position at Optimum?

I am extremely proud of the career path that have led me to Optimum Mortgage. I’ve been in charge of business development, I’ve been a broker, and I’ve been an underwriter. I’ve had many opportunities to see the mortgage industry from all angles. I believe that this has really helped lead me to the many successes I’ve experienced, and that it will assist me with my new position with Optimum Mortgage. I am happy to hit the ground running.

 

Why did you decide to join the Optimum team?

I was honored to join the Optimum team after meeting with the staff in various departments. I always knew the quality of programs and policies Optimum had to offer the broker world, but was thrilled to see the quality of service and the commitment by all, to achieve the utmost in both broker and client services. The staff at Optimum routinely help make the broker look good. I am thrilled to be a part of that!

 

Based on your experience, what do brokers look for in a lender?

Brokers are looking for a quality product at a great price, accompanied by outstanding customer service. Optimum fits the bill. There are a variety of circumstances that Optimum can assist both clients and brokers with, always at competitive pricing, and we utilize a common-sense approach to our underwriting. Our Customer Service is out of this world. We house a full Customer Service Department, in-house, at our Head Office in Edmonton, AB.

 

As the new BDM in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, what can your brokers look forward to?

My colleagues can look forward to me being available to them via phone, email and in-person visits on a regular basis. They can also look forward to my interest and passion for our industry. I love to field calls, email, etc to assist with putting deals together, and assisting with getting files funded and closed. Brokers can also look forward to using our new Opti-85 program, being offered for the first time in Saskatchewan! I welcome all of the mortgage brokers and associates to call me to ask me more about this amazing product, if you aren’t already using it.

 

What is something that your brokers would be surprised to know about you?

A few of my colleagues may know that I wasn’t destined for the Financial Industry, initially. In fact, I thought that it would be dull and not suit my personality. I “fell into” banking while taking a one year hiatus before going into law school many years ago, and fell in love with the mortgage side of personal finance. I’ve been committed ever since, and loving every minute of it!
