Introducing Rebecca Griffeth, Business Development Manager for Southwestern Ontario

We’re excited to announce that Rebecca Griffeth has joined the Optimum team! Rebecca will be taking over the Southwestern Ontario region. Rebecca has years of experience in the mortgage industry and will be a valuable asset to our team. Here’s more about Rebecca in her own words…


What steps in your career led to your new position at Optimum?

My background in the mortgage industry includes many years in the alternative lending world. Through this experience, I’ve become more aware of the need for alternative lenders like Optimum Mortgage, so I decided to join their team. My new role as Business Development Manager also allows me to build and establish strong working relationships with my clients—which I consider to be very important.


Why did you decide to join the Optimum team?

When researching Optimum Mortgage and their partner company, Canadian Western Bank, I found that their core values aligned with mine. These values included: integrity, accountability, respect, a common sense approach to lending, and attention to effective customer service.


Based on your experience, what do brokers look for in a lender?

I’ve found that brokers look for lenders that deliver common sense solutions, and underwriters that ‘look’ for solutions when putting a deal together.   The responsiveness of the lending team is also critical. Optimum provides regular status updates throughout the funding process, which I think is very important.


As the new BDM in Southwestern Ontario, what are three things that your brokers can look forward to?

Visibility, responsive call backs/emails, and helping to ‘grow’ their business.


What is something that your brokers would be surprised to know about you?

 I enjoy yoga, cooking, and entertaining friends and family.
