We are pleased and proud to announce that Heather Scarlett has joined the Optimum team as our new Business Development Manager for South Central GTA.
Heather comes to us with a highly experienced background in all aspects of mortgage lending; including underwriting and business development, and we know that her professionalism and expertise fit extremely well with the ‘Optimum Advantage’.
Here’s more about Heather in her own words…
What steps in your career led to your new position at Optimum?
I’m fortunate to have held a variety of mortgage related positions, primarily with alternate lenders, that have luckily led me to my current role with Optimum Mortgage.
Why did you decide to join the Optimum team?
I feel that Optimum Mortgage is a forward-thinking lender with innovative products. I’m excited to take on this new challenge and continue the high level of customer service that Optimum’s sales, funding and underwriting teams are well known for in the mortgage industry.
Based on your experience, what do brokers look for in a lender?
Brokers are looking for flexible mortgage options and most importantly, personalized service. Optimum definitely fits the bill. Brokers are tired of matrix lending and appreciate a common-sense approach to underwriting.
As the new BDM in South Central GTA, what can your brokers look forward to?
Brokers can expect the best I have to offer – quick response times, flexible solutions and always top notch customer service. They can look forward to my knowledge and experience to shine through to provide personalized solutions for all of your clients. I love to answer questions and help you solve any problems your clients are facing, ask me anything!
What is something that your brokers would be surprised to know about you?
My brokers would be surprised to know that before I “fell” in to the mortgage world I was an over-educated bartender; teaching other bartenders how to flair bartend and flip bottles! I travelled throughout a chain to educate their new bartenders prior to opening.
I have a number of quirks, not the least of which is a phobia of pioneer villages. Seriously, who enjoys those places?
