We are pleased and proud to announce that Mira Yasiri has joined the Optimum team as our new Business Development Manager for Eastern & Northern Ontario.
Here’s more about Mira in her own words…
What steps in your career led to your new position at Optimum?
I have been a mortgage agent for the past 11 years and have always enjoyed working with clients to help them achieve their real estate goal. Now I can help mortgage agents do just that.
Why did you decide to join the Optimum team?
The alternative market is growing and with it the opportunity to learn more and be a part of the changes. I have met the Optimum management team on a number of occasions over the past 11 years and can relate to their business goals and their philosophies.
As the new BDM in Eastern & Northern Ontario, what can your brokers look forward to?
Over many years in the business, I have become very good at structuring the deals and have gotten to know many lenders in the industry. I will use my experience and knowledge to help the agents get those approvals with Optimum.
What is something that your brokers would be surprised to know about you?
I don’t golf…I know, so out of the ordinary for someone who’s been in the industry this long! But I do hope to take it up sometime this year.

What is your favourite type of cuisine and why?
Italian… why not?!
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
Travel through time, I would go back in history and be present during the moments I find most intriguing: Roman Coliseum fights, the building of the Roman Empire, medical revolution, the renaissance (my favorite period), and Michelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel. Then I would go to the future and find out if we really do go to Mars, or if we have flying cars, do we live forever with our brain-in-a-robot? Finally, I would of course make sure to win the lottery.
Live on the beach or in the mountains?
BEACH!
If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
Leonardo Da Vinci, because of his extreme intelligence, quenching curiosity and his ability to invent.

What is your favourite travel destination?
My favorite place to have visited so far is Pompeii
Who is your favourite hockey team?
The Sens, but mostly I cheer for whoever my kids pick.
What is one skill you wish you had but you don’t?
I wish I had the ability to pick up languages quickly.
If money were no object, what would you splurge on?
I would buy a yacht and sail the world.
What three traits define you?
Honest, sarcastic, love to dance.
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
My kids of course!
